And when POP Nail Polish announced that they were looking for a team to give them a bigger, feature-packed WooCommerce website we couldn’t wait to get involved!
POP started out as a tiny business in 2015, making small batches of nail polish for family and friends. These polishes quickly gained popularity and business grew accordingly. Their products are high-quality, fast-drying, and affordable. Up until now, they have been using an Etsy store to do business, but high order volume and a large product selection became hard to manage over time, and they wanted a better and easier solution. Enter Surf Your Name.
POP Cosmetics is a full-featured website, with an entire WooCommerce configuration that includes a robust “custom product box” – allowing the customer to select a set of polishes, based on its category & create their own custom set. Using this method, the customer is able to purchase more than 60 products at the same time, all at an overall discount.
The site also includes an easy to understand support ticket system that allows the shop manager to quickly respond to all customer issues and inquiries without needing to hassle if they’re not particularly tech-savvy. POP Nail Polish boasts a dynamic “Wishlist” functionality, where users can create several different wish-lists and share them with their loved ones – once an item is purchased from the wish-list, it is automatically removed so there is no awkward double gifting.
On the backend side of things, our team of website developers set up a massive amount of automation within Shipstation, allowing the orders size, weight and shipping provider to sync seamlessly from WooCommerce into the Shipstation dashboard. Due to these automations – the POP team is able to purchase the correct shipping label with the click of a button.
But the customization of WooCommerce doesn’t stop there! We set up the online store with a Twilio account and completely integrated the WooCommerce shop, Shipstation shipping & Twilio SMS notifications for every single order. With this powerful integration in place, the customer will always know the status of their order. They’ll receive a text message when it has been received, when it has been shipped & finally, when it gets delivered to their door.
We’re huge fans of the design of the website as well, as the black and white really show off the beautiful polishes! It’s a completely custom WordPress website design with a huge WooCommerce online store and fully integrated contact forms. Not to mention, tons of customized elements throughout, and lots of fully integrated 3rd party software to give every part of the shopping experience some POP personalization.
