We’re not sure about you, but most of us at Surf Your Name love watching HGTV, particularly house remodeling shows. Watching a designer be able to take a space and transform it into something completely new and function is fascinating and makes us think about how we’d remodel our own homes to work better for our lives.
This is exactly what our latest website launch client, Neil, does with his business House Plans by Design. Neil reached out to us online about modernizing his website. He wanted a modern fluid and visual design to generate leads for his business. We’re never one to pass up the opportunity to create an amazing website and try out new features, and we couldn’t wait to get started.
Neil is a Residential Design Planner who specializes in creating customized designs for single and two-family homes, townhouses, and multi-family dwellings. He has more than 20 years of experience designing homes with a focus on energy efficiency, functionality, and aesthetics.
He uses his master skillset and design software to create 3D models of houses for his clients which has opened a ton more possibilities for his business.
We consider this website one of the most modern we’ve ever created. The homepage video is dynamic, and each section of the website scrolls beautifully through one another. We added a custom gallery to showcase Neil’s past work which clickable links that lead directly to a page on each project.
With as big of a project as designing an entire house, naturally, people have questions. Knowing this, we dedicated a page to FAQs so visitors can learn more about Neil’s process and get answers to questions they didn’t even know to ask. Then all visitors have to do is reach out through the fully configured contact form on the website that goes directly to Neil’s email to contact him.
Overall, this was an incredibly fun project. We got to know Neil and learn more about his business, how the 3D modeling software works in his process of designing homes, and created a website that focuses on exactly what he does: efficiency, functionality, and aesthetics. We’re excited to see more of his homes being built in the area and can’t wait to work together on future projects as the business grows.
