We are pleased to announce we will now be accepting guest bloggers for our website articles section starting January 15, 2017. We have had several requests in the past year from our clients and bloggers wanting to be a guest blogger for Surf Your Name and we were just not ready. We experienced substantial growth in 2016 and spent all our time helping our clients.
We were able to add some new team members late in the year and that gave us the time to prepare for our guest blogger program. Our business is dedicated to making our clients successful. We know if we deliver results for our clients they will keep coming back to us for years to come. We are a small business and love being able to help other small businesses in any way possible. By allowing guest bloggers, we are opening the doors to help even more small business owners just like us.
What type of guest bloggers and topics are we accepting?
We have a wide range of blog topics we will be looking for as we grow our guest blogger program. We want guest bloggers who enjoy blogging about a wide range of small business topics. A topic you are passionate about, a success you have had, or maybe even a business failure and what you learned from it. Below are a few of the topics we would be happy to have in our guest blogging program.
Entrepreneurial Success
Have you experienced a success in your business and want to share it with others? Maybe it started as an epic failure and you turned it around? We love hearing from other small business owners who want to share their sucesses and help others get that same success.
The Joys of Social Media
Is social media helping your business or is it taking hours out of your day that you will never get back and have nothing to show for it? Social media tips and tricks are always a huge topic of conversation and we would love to get a guest bloggers perspective.
New Software Review
Using a new software program that is making your business great or saving you a ton of time? Or maybe you are wasting time with a program that doesn’t deliver. We would love to hear about it. We love technology and love it even more when it makes our lives more productive.
Work/Life Balance
Many small business owners work longer and harder than ever before. Are you struggling with maintaining a work/life balance or have you found the secret to juggling a small business and life? We love hearing from guest bloggers with a new method or a great story to share!
So Whats In it for Me??
Our guest bloggers will get a 3-sentence bio at the end of each guest blog telling readers about them and their business. You also get a link back to your website and a link to one social media account of your choice. We will also include a head-shot of you in the bio section. We will email our subscribers who have interest in your topic as well as promoting your guest blog on social media. Having your own blog takes quite a bit of time and effort.
Many small business owners do not have time to write enough articles to have their own blog, so guest blogging is the best solution. They get to have articles published with subject matter related to their industry and also get back links and promotion of their business.
What is the next step?
We want to hear from you! Send us an email or shoot us a message on Facebook with details on the topic you would like to blog. If you have a few paragraphs already written, send those over to us too. Your blog should be original and not published elsewhere on the internet. Our typical blog length is about 500 words or so, but don’t worry if you go over a little.
While we want you and your business to get credited for the blog, please do not go overboard with self promotion. The management team reserves the right to make edits prior to publishing as well as post publishing. We also may determine your guest blog topic may not be a great fit for our readers and opt not to publish. Please take a few extra minutes to spell check and grammar check your blog posting prior to submission.
We are excited to hear from you and welcome you as our next guest blogger. If you have any questions or need more information, reach out to us via email, phone, text, Facebook, or even carrier pigeon (if you can find one).
